I also just saw Tindersticks in San Francisco at the Great American Music Hall. Wonderful venue and a simply stunningly good performance. It was so good, in fact, that I didn't realize that it was the drummer that wasn't present and in the hospital...it took me the entire show and half the ride home to realize that they played their entire set without a drummer. Simply amazing.

Hope he's alright.

This is a chart I made when I suspected the guy in the first row was just recycling the same two shirts all the time. The results were inconclusive.

One day in class I realized, where the fuck is Steve Buscemi? Usually he's in every movie. Is he alright? Does he need my help?

In a stark contrast to the funk and sass of Eddie Murphy, I just saw these guys.

I want to make babies with his voice. And then I'll raise those babies on whiskey and unfiltered cigarettes and cello lessons and I'll have an army of classically trained Tom Waits babies and they'll make a band so good everyone will be all like "Oh shit, these guys are so good. Remember that band Tindersticks? Me neither."
