James, 6/26/09 LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Live entertainment company AEG announced this evening that Michael Jackson's 50 concerts planned at London's 02 Arena will carry on as planned, despite the pop legend's untimely death earlier today. "We feel that the best way to honor his memory is to not cancel the shows," said a spokesperson earlier this evening. "The shows sold so well, it would be such a shame." Michael Jackson could not be reached for comment. (So long, you astoundingly strange yet even more astoundingly funky man). |

Kellen, 6/24/09 And today you get a comic at midnight PST instead of EST. (And we were even late there.) My excuse: homemade french fries. |

James, 6/18/09 Just wanted to remind everyone (again) that people like this exist. Have a nice afternoon. |

James, 6/03/09 I wrote an exam today. There was one sheet with the essay prompts, and a booklet in which to write our responses. The sheet doubles as a space to outline essays and make notes, but I rarely do this—I like to dive in and go for it. At the end of the exam, the professor collects both papers regardless. I'm about halfway through my first essay and I need to spell the word "miscarriage" (look, one of the short stories we read this term involved a miscarriage, it was perfectly relevant). "Miscarriage" is one of those words I can never remember how to spell. I get hung up on the order of those vowels towards to end. Does it go "ia" or "ai?" Whenever I have this problem, I do this thing where I spell the word out in both ways, write it a few times really quickly, decide which looks correct and carry on with my paper without looking back. Writing this now, I know I spelled it correctly, so that's good. About an hour ago, I started to wonder what my professor will think when he looks through the stack of essay prompt papers, filled mostly with outlines and notes, and comes across one with the word "miscarriage" scrawled several times across the top of the page in messy, frantic penmanship. |

Kellen, 6/01/09 All the comics are gone, you say? Well if you weren't such an idiot you would check the archives, but kick out the ladder anyway, no sense in not using the noose you just spent so long tying. |
