Kellen, 09/20/10 Readers! Here is a sincere letter I wrote to a concerned fan. I mean every word of it, I swear. Reader [whose name I will take out because I feel like that makes me official], Personally, I need a comic vent in my life sometimes - so I can't say that I'm completely done in that regard. Instead, I had started with the idea in mind that I wanted to have fun with the comic, and by damn I did for the ~500 comics that we produced. But something started to make it feel like a bit of a chore for me; I believe my life just kind of switched around and didn't offer the kind of time for the comic that it required. As such, I felt that I wasn't really outputting what I should have. More importantly though, I wasn't having as much fun with something I had created for the sole purpose of having fun with (excuse the preposition I ended the sentence with [zing]). As such, I felt as if my fun with the comic was drawing to a close. I made it to have fun. I had fun with it. It started to wrap up. We wrapped it up. I got the whole package of the experience and I hope you all reaped the benefits of it, too. The comic will stay up, enjoy the reruns in the archives (lord knows I enjoy reruns of good shows) and don't hold your breath for something quite as momentous as in Old English. But it's too early for me to tell whether or not this is the end of this format of "comic venting" for me. Best, |

James, 09/18/10 Recently, we decided that we had probably taken in Old English as far as it could go. There won't be any more updates, but the comic itself will remain online, so you and your children and your lovers and your children's children and your children's lovers and your lovers' children |
